Guess what. We met with the wolf biologist Dave Mech today. I already talked to him last year but this year I asked him what he looks for in graduate students and my instructor Bryan took notice and gave me a few tips in addition to Mech's answer. Dr. Mech said that he looks for writing skills in grad students in addition to the other qualifications. Bryan told me he wants me to take a chemical mobility class at the Wildlife Science Center ( http://www.wildlifesciencecenter.org/ ) and talk to Dr. Shannon Barber-Meyer for writing skills. The Wildlife Science Center was our next stop. Dr. Shannon Barber-Meyer took this course years ago and is now the leading biologist on the Isle Royale wolf reintroduction and Dr. Mech's old grad student, who we also meet.

When we went to the Wildlife Science Center I was dead set on working there in any form I could. It is an amazing place with so many animals! It used to be a federal level wolf-breeding program and it has since become a non-profit that supplies wolves for many research projects. I can not express how amazing it would be to work for Peggy at the Wildlife Science Center!!!

I think she liked me too! Which is so cool, because she is the embodiment of what I want to be. I emailed her before writing this stating my intention to work for her in any form I can as soon as I can!

Here is a video from the Wildlife Science Center of the wolves rubbing on a coffee splash. I have more videos. Message me if you want to see them!
