This morning was very peaceful, I saw an eagle on the walk over to the office. Afterward, my fellow TA Antonio and I cleaned the vans and met with the program director to cover course details.

In the afternoon we took vans to the airport in the cities to pick up students. Overall, I'm surprised at how fluidly I transitioned into mentor instead of peer. I thought there would be a noticeable difference in how I am expected to interact with people, but being approachable is a valuable quality in a mentor. I had a great conversation with two students and I felt so comfortable! My fellow TA Katrina and I also had a wonderful dialogue about science experiences and exchanged possible organizations to work at. Mostly for me because she has done more than me.

I can't wait for this course, today going over the schedule made me remember how amazing it was last year. Who knows what we will find in the outdoors this year!

This is the path with just my tracks in it. I can be traced just like the animals I study!
