First of all, look at this beautiful bull snake Goldie!!! She made my day. She is a program snake and wild snakes should be respected.

Today we had the morning off and I hung out with Osprey Wilds' fellows while they made birthday cake. In the afternoon Antonio and I lead a game called predator prey, where students were either herbivores, omnivores, or predators. Each of the categories had different needs. The play area was a sectioned off piece of land with various ecosystems. In the play area resources were posted on trees. Some of the categories' goals were to solely collect resources, the herbivores, and others required people to take lives from other people. The lives were represented by rubber bands on people's wrists. Carnivores had the most lives required. It was an absolute blast!

In the evening we heard from a graduate student who took this course and TAed for it, Aaron Morris. He studies kill sites. He has worked in Yellowstone NP, the Arctic, and now he is working on elephant kills in Africa. It was amazing to hear about his journey and how the steps he took could easily be in my future.
